Sustainable Development - Economic Dimension

An economic sector undergoing reform

he company is a for-profit organization, and although profit is understandably a part of our mission, we always seek a balance with the other components of our mission. Competition in the field is quite aggressive. During the 1990s, the opening of the borders to international businesses revolutionized the sector. Continued resistance against the use of fur and the prioritization of synthetic materials have also greatly changed consumer habits.

Many countries with lower working and salary conditions, such as China or India, have to a great extent taken over the field. Our company therefore seeks solutions to reduce production costs and remain competitive by investing a portion of our profits in research and development.

Over the years, the company has adopted the notion of sustainable development, which has allowed us to grow and become a leader in the industry through innovation and presence in a variety of markets. Sustainable development has been a natural part of our company’s evolution, given our concern for people as well as the environment, allowing us to both cut costs and increase profits.
